Copal blanco smoke box

White copal resin comes from a South American tree, from the Burseraceae family, which was of great medicinal importance to the Maya, among others. It repels mosquitoes and purifies body and mind. It has an invigorating effect and dispels stress to achieve a calm mind. White copal is seen as a positive ingredient to effect change. South American peoples link it to rituals to evoke fertility and creativity.

With copal varieties, pay particular attention to the Latin name. In South America, the word “copal” simply means “incense. This causes a lot of confusion around the different varieties. 

Scent Experience: A light, woody fragrance with notes of conifer and turpentine. It is described as a soft forest scent.
