Benzoin Siam smoke box

Benzoin is a resin used mainly in love blends. It is stimulating and inspires the imagination. It is widely used in purification rituals and gives success in every field. In Asia, it is one of the most important fragrances. It acts as a fixative and blends well with frankincense, spices, rose and cedar. It is a standard ingredient to create amber or oriental fragrances. In traditional Chinese medicine, the benzoin family is called An Xi Xiang, which means as much as “the peaceful tranquility' fragrance. 

The main ingredients are benzoic acid and esters (coniferyl benzoate, benzyl benzoate and cinnamyl benzoate). 

Scent experience: a sweet, vanilla scent with balsamic undertones. Light floral with a slight touch of spice. 

The fragrance is lighter and softer than that of the benzoin sumatra. Both varieties contain vanillin but it is more clearly noted in the benzoin siam.
